Guest guest
A contact dermatitis for one. Long tutorial but a couple of things here. First the human body is a donut. From your mouth to your anus you are open to the outside world. Therefore you have the highest concentration of immunal defense in the digestive tract because it is the most likely area to be exposed to a pathogen. The human body is made up of 22 different cell types and all your cells " differentiate " from these. Skin and the mucous membranes are the same cell type and virtually identical. Anyone taking a ppi will eventually get screwed up because they prevent the production of HCL. Stomach acidity being one of your front line immunal defenses for anything entering by mouth as well as digestive. Anyone not " bothered " by PPIs just has not been on them long enough. Prediction: All PPIs will be pulled from the market within the next 2 decades as the long term horrific effects surface. The pharma industry can be a myopic profiteering malignant beast. Diagnosis is suspect. Could be allergic. Don't let some idiot put you on a protein pump inhibitor or it will really screw you up. My best to Yah. -D I can vouch for that. Nexium doesn't seem to bother some people but it has made my life worse. And diagnosis has proven to be more of proof to everyone else that I actually have a severe reflux problems. Seven tests later and the doctor referred me to a surgeon who admitted he was not sure the TWO recommended surgeries would even fully help my problem. What kind of allergy could cause reflux? greg
Guest guest
Also, not sure in a " silent " GERD case that it is reflux. Reflux should not be silent. the symptoms here are basically swelling and irritation. -D ----- Original Message ----- From: dreaminginnoother<mailto:dreaminginnoother@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2007 8:48 AM Subject: Re: GERD (SILENT) WILL A LIVER CLEANSE HELP? > > Liver cleanse might help depending on what is causing the GERD problem. Guest guest
Great post! -D ----- Original Message ----- From: ontarioguy2334<mailto:ontarioguy2334@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2007 7:21 PM Subject: Re: GERD (SILENT) WILL A LIVER CLEANSE HELP? hehe Lover cleanse. Cute =) Dont worry I have a tendency to type love as opposed to liver too. In addition to what Dave said I think you should get checked for Helicobacter Pylori. So far its the only known bacterium which can survive the HCL of the stomach. I used to have tonnes to heartburn back when I had big problems with this bacteria. Those little buggers burrow into the mucosa of the stomach (its even been found in the duodenum and jejunum) and secrete an alkaline solution to protect themselves from the HCL of the stomach. If the bacterial count gets too high it can actually effect the overall pH of your stomach. The body senses this and triggers the stomach to secrete more HCL and then you start to get symptoms such as GERD or lots of heartburn (I probably had GERD just undiagnosed). This is also why H Pylori is causing 60% of gastric ulcers and a certain percentage of duodenal ulcers (ive forgotten what that percentage is). Becuase the HCL production goes into overdrive and starts corroding the lining of the stomach and intestines. It also can secrete some kind of inflamitory chemical which im sure doesnt help the health of the mucosa either. You can do a blood test but I would try getting a breath test as well to verify the blood. I'm sure there are other factors involved in GERD maybe other infections but that one bug I know is very common and causes lots of trouble especially in chronically ill people. I don't see why the Gb cleanses wouldn't help this problem. I got massive benefit just from taking Manuka honey which has the strongest antibacterial properties of any honey. The medications did not work as I still tested positive after one round. anyways here is good websites to check out: http://www.helico.com/<http://www.helico.com/> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicobacter_pylori<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/He\ licobacter_pylori> Brad > > Liver cleanse might help depending on what is causing the GERD problem.
