Liver cleanse might help depending on what is causing the GERD problem.

Diagnosis is suspect. Could be allergic. Don't let some idiot put you on a

i am only 25 but have silent gerd problems which aFfects my throat( my

I can vouch for that. Nexium doesn't seem to bother some people but

it has made my life worse. And diagnosis has proven to be more of

proof to everyone else that I actually have a severe reflux problems.

Seven tests later and the doctor referred me to a surgeon who

admitted he was not sure the TWO recommended surgeries would even

fully help my problem. What kind of allergy could cause reflux?

hehe Lover cleanse. Cute =) Dont worry I have a tendency to type

love as opposed to liver too.

In addition to what Dave said I think you should get checked for

Helicobacter Pylori. So far its the only known bacterium which can

survive the HCL of the stomach. I used to have tonnes to heartburn

back when I had big problems with this bacteria.

Those little buggers burrow into the mucosa of the stomach (its even

been found in the duodenum and jejunum) and secrete an alkaline

solution to protect themselves from the HCL of the stomach. If the

bacterial count gets too high it can actually effect the overall pH of

your stomach. The body senses this and triggers the stomach to

secrete more HCL and then you start to get symptoms such as GERD or

lots of heartburn (I probably had GERD just undiagnosed). This is

also why H Pylori is causing 60% of gastric ulcers and a certain

percentage of duodenal ulcers (ive forgotten what that percentage is).

Becuase the HCL production goes into overdrive and starts corroding

the lining of the stomach and intestines.

It also can secrete some kind of inflamitory chemical which im sure

doesnt help the health of the mucosa either.

You can do a blood test but I would try getting a breath test as well

to verify the blood.

I'm sure there are other factors involved in GERD maybe other

infections but that one bug I know is very common and causes lots of

trouble especially in chronically ill people.

I don't see why the Gb cleanses wouldn't help this problem. I got

massive benefit just from taking Manuka honey which has the strongest

antibacterial properties of any honey. The medications did not work

as I still tested positive after one round.
