Guest guest
Pardon my ignorance, but what's H. pylori? How wonderful that the young man found treatment (what was the treatment?), even though so late in life, and was able to improve SO significantly!! Guest guest
O wise and experienced ones: Any insight into the cause(s), effective treatment of H. pylori? We'll have the water tested. We're on city water. (We had one diagnosed with it about a yr ago, who has since moved. Don't know if he still has it or not. I know another who has it and one we suspect might have it (will get tested tomorrow). All have compromised immune systems from the start. Thanks, S **************************** Life Enhancement Products has herbal products using Mastic(herb) that elimintes H. pylori Bye lori is the main supplement product, but also have mastic toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. www.life-enhancement.com or 1-800-543-3873 It seems to work very well. Guest guest
My mother had that recently and her Dr. put her on antibiotics. That is exactly the wrong treatment! I went to the health food store and they have a product specifically for this problem and it worked. Check with your health food store. I can't remember the name of the stuff now, but they should be able to help. Amber I also have chronic gastritis. I'm starting to think I have h. pylori, even though my test for it came back negative a while back. My husband was treated for it recently, so I may have gotten it from him. I've had lots of stomach burning lately. .
Guest guest
My mother had a flare-up of that her Dr. gave her an antibiotic, which only makes it worse! I bought something from my health food store that solved her problem. I can't remember the name of the stuff now, but call any health food store and ask them what to take. Amber What would you recommend for H.Pylori? .
Guest guest
How fabulous that your doctor would do that rather than prescribe an antibiotic. Excellent. Amber My doc put me on Mastica for H. Pylori. Amber <amber@...> wrote: I just called my health food store to check. It was called Mastic Gum and it worked very well. Antibiotics only makes this worse. . Guest guest
Good luck. If it's severe, in my experience the garlic and Oregano oil will only do so much. In other words, don't be surprized or discouraged if it doesn't resolve the problem. - --- Aramburu <mattandgina@...> wrote: > Thanks so far guys! > > I think I'm done panicking about it now. As long as you are getting plenty of probiotic foods/beverages and have normal stomach acid levels, that should keep it from over-growing and causing symptoms. I wonder what percentage of people show positive stool tests for H pylori. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a large percentage. I'd also be curious to know what percentage of the positive testers have no symptoms.

Previous studies have shown that natural foods such as green tea and cranberry juice inhibit the growth of H. pylori infections in the stomach lining. This is the first time that olive oil has been looked at in this context. In laboratory cultures, the phenolic compounds in extra virgin olive oil had strong antibacterial effects against eight strains of H. pylori, including antibiotic-resistant strains. The compounds were also shown to be capable of remaining stable in the harsh acidic conditions of the stomach. Guest guest
Thank you for your responses. Much appreciated. Do you know if H. Pylori is contagious to others and if so, how it is transmitted? jafa Rashad Tatum <tatum.rashad@...> wrote: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2007/03/03/a-new-natural-weap\ on-to-fight-h-pylori.aspx Extra virgin olive oil could help prevent and treat Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infections, which cause millions of cases of gastritis and peptic ulcer disease each year.
