Guest guest
Hi, I'm a new member of the group and am scheduled for an ultrasound soon to see if I have gallstones. I have also recently been diagnosed as being pre-diabetic, which was quite a shock since I'm slender, have no family history of diabetes, and have no symptoms. Soooo, I began thinking, since the gallbladder and the pancreas share the same duct into the intestine, can a problem with the gallbladder have an impact on insulin production? Any experience or advice in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Larry
Guest guest
Hi Larry - Yes, I have suspected this connection on some level as well myself. The first time I experienced " attacks " were after I had been binging on cookies for quite awhile. Many times before I had also gone on various sugary type binges = probably overloading my pancreas. Also - whenever I have felt an attack coming on could always settle it by drinking plain lemon juice. There was only one time that did not work which is when I suppose the attack was much more serious. I've just added Gymnema recently to my list of supplements to help in this area. Guest guest
When I was doing my research, I did find that diabetes could be a result of having a gall bladder removed. I'm sure it's more related than that. Evie > > Hi, > > I'm a new member of the group and am scheduled for an ultrasound soon > to see if I have gallstones.
