Guest guest
According to Doug Kaufmann, who has researched medical issues and worked with doctors for 36 years, gout is caused by fungus in the body. Doctors can prescribe Diflucan or Nystatin or a person can take natural antifungals from a health food store. Amber Your symptoms are consistent with gout. While it usually starts in a big toe, it does not have too. The sweets are the worst thing in the world. Alkalinate, flushing liver, kidneys, colon. Plenty of water. . Guest guest
Celery seed helps to remove the uric acid. Works for me. Hey gang, I've been asked by a gal at our church (who knows that I am into natural methods and such) to find out what I can about Gout. I did some internet reading on it, what it is, what causes it, diet, meds, water intake and such. Now I am looking for real life experiences. Have any of you dealt with this, or know of someone that has? I'd be interested in hearing about it. Peace, love, laughter

Guest guest
Duke, in his ³Green Pharmacy² attests: > ³Learning that celery extracts might help eliminate uric acid, I began > taking > 2-4 tablets of celery seed extracts daily instead of allopurinol. As I > write, > six months have gone by without a single gout crisis. Equal parts celery seed and parsley tincture is specific for gout. For one week, I ate four > celery stalks a day in lieu of the extracts. > > These self-dosing anecdotal results lead me to believe the advertisement > that > led me to the celery seed. A skeptic then, I¹m a believer now: Celery seed > has kept my uric acid below critical levels². he never stated a specific type of celery seed ... there is only one. celery seed capsules 3-4 at onset through day until relief; then 3 a day Colchicum has also been used, both in homeopathic potency and in low-dose tincture, i.e. 3-5 drops twice daily, effectively. ..change diet. big insults are alcohol, organ meats (including sausages, hotdogs, salami, pepperoni, bratwurst, etc.), and chicken. go as veggie as possible. fresh cherries, or canned, liberally. pineapple, liberally. bromelain with quercetin may be helpful along with the other tips. turmeric has antiinflammatory properties that are similar to the cox-2 etc type meds. Gentian reputedly also reduces uric acid levels. HTH, How do you take these seeds? Do they come in capsules? I found them in the spices section of the food market, but I wonder how to use them. They are also good for hypertension. Rena Re: Gout Celery seed helps to remove the uric acid. Works for me.
Guest guest
My dh takes a product called Go-out Plex by Highland (800-547-0273), which contains potassium, celery seed extract, black cherry, bromelain, and turmeric root. He hasn't had a gout attack in years, and he swears it's because of this product. All of the ingredients are anti-inflammatory (except for the potassium, that I know of), and gout is basically an inflammation of the joint, so it's logical. Guest guest
I read somewhere that cherries were being looked at as something that could help those suffering from gout. I still need to do some more reading, though.Peace, love, laughterBelieve it or not, my youngest daughter gets gout from time to time. The thing that works best for her is to eat and drink cherries. A lot of of cherries. It gets expensive of course when they aren't in season but POM cherry pomegranate juice works too. She is 24 and this started when she was about 16 years old. When she feels it coming on, she drinks as much water and she can and starts with the cherries. Usually it keeps it from getting too intense and is over in a day or so. I try to get her to eat cherry yogurt but she doesn't like it. Good luck
