Guest guest
Hi, and welcome! You've done great so far! Any time we are not losing for more than 3-4 weeks in a row, we need to take action if we want to continue losing well. First, look at the things you must contribute yourself : - getting the 80-100 oz a day of no-cal fluids? - honestly getting the exercise needed ? 45-60 min of cardio 3x a week, 45-60 min of weight training 3x a week? (ok to be on same days) If you have not been serious about exercise, it has now caught up with you. We need to be building some good muscle to burn fat much more efficiently, to lose the last 25-50 # and also to keep the weight off. Never too late to start, though.. - meeting the protein, fiber, calcium, good carbs, and omega 3 oil needs? - working hard on the emotional eating, ideally with a good therapist ? Overcoming this head hunger is very tough, and not doing so is often what sabotgaes us and mskesm us stoping and regain. - avoiding all liquid calories ? except for 2 glasses of nonfat milk daily if yo like - for the calcium needs. Improve these things first and see how you do for another 3-4 weeks. if still not losing, see your doc to discuss a bit more fill. More fill should alway be the last thing we do. Also, go back and review all the basic food choice and eating rules. See the Band Guide in the files. there may be some things you've forgotten - or possibly didn't know. That's a start! Glad you've joined us! Lots of wise and experienced people her to give ou suggestions! Sandy R > > Hey group! I'm a year out from my lap band. Would I like to get to 195? Sure. But it may never happen, and that's ok too. Or it may. I'm running half marathons, playing racquetball, much happier and healthier. Do I NEED to lose more? No. SHOULD I? Maybe. But I'm not going to should on myself. > plateau. What's worse - I've started to eat some bad things again. Then cut it out. WHY are you doing it? > i.e. Ice Cream! Where is the ice cream? Are you going to the ice cream shop? I sure hope it isn't anywhere in your house. Don't bring that kind of stuff into the house. Sure, have it once in a while at some special event, or one scoop a week when you stop at HD, or BR, or wherever. But don't bring the stuff home. Same for any other trigger foods. > HELP! > I need a little support and a few encouraging words. Hope the ideas above help. Plus, think about WHY are you eating it? Horny, Angry, Lonely, Tired? Guest guest
Hi Sandy, I ordered your CD's last week and am very much looking forward to using them. How long does it usually take to receive them? ndy <MoonshadowRN@...> wrote: Hi, and welcome! You've done great so far! Guest guest
Its .. I have these suggestions, instead of eating Ice Cream and chocolate cookies try these substitutes: Sugar Free Pudding Sugar Free Popsicles Sugar Free Jello Hersheys Mini Chocolate Chip Kisses - 22 Kisses = 150 Calories, so if you eat 5 of them a day you get 30 calories plus the taste of cookies. One last suggestion, walk an hour a day. Don't give up. We are behind you! Everyday I tell myseld not to eat it, but that day or the next, there I am with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. I did REALLY well for several months... but I feel like I'm screwing everything up. HELP! I need a little support and a few encouraging words. Thanks, Itswhatever216
