Why don't some medical pro's believe patients

I was at the hospital yesterday getting tests done before seeing a

professor today about my blood pressure (arranged after my diagnosis

as my bp was already high but had gone up again despite medication)

and I swear the nurse didn't believe my answers.

She was okay with being told that I didn't smoke, but when it came to

alcohol there was a questioning tone to her voice when I said I

didn't drink. Ok I have the very odd glass of wine but, but that

could be 1 a month. I stopped drinking in 2001 and didn't touch any

for 3 years. I'm daft enough without it.

Then she was the same about putting salt on my food. Apart from a wee

bit on boiled tatties or chips I don't put salt on my food.

Then she had a sheet with questions about sleepiness and I had to

explain about my mid afternoon slump and how it is most probably down

to the underactive thyroid. She asked if I can sleep in front of the

tv, but it's only when I lie down and get comfy. Oh and about

sleeping in the car as a passenger on a joourney of an hour or more -

which I do, I always put it down to the movement of the car as I've

always done it.

Oh well better run and get ready as I'm off back to see the doc today

and the bus is in 30 mins but thankfully it leaves from across the

road.
