Guest guest
I don't pretend to understand fully what this article says but it seems to offer some research to put before 'symptom/sign' blind endocrinologists such as mine who depend solely on blood results. Apologies if others have aleady posted this. I've been working till the small hours thanks to the summer leave period and not had much time to catch up on the forum news. Sorry can't seem to get this in as a hyperlink so please copy & paste into your browserhttp://autoimmunedisease.suite101.com/article.cfm/new_thyroid_diseaseClearly some adrenal problem going on with me at the moment. That and thyroxine clearly not working. Adrenals probably overworked from the current stress levels. R Foot & ankle very swollen but not 'pitting' oedema. Very tired in the mornings. Niggling discomfort/pain in rear left flank at kidney height. Not apparently kidney stones and kidney's look normal to the kind lady who scanned them today (although she did say most are too small to see on ultrasound). Made me wonder why GP bothered sending me for it. Rational was probably the several bad urine infections this year and recently had blood in urine, no infection but niggly pain. Unable to concentrate on one thing at a time and my driving has become positively dangerous - pulled out of our road when car hadn't warmed up sufficiently and got stuck in mid road - only to find there was a police car behind the one I'd given a monumental fright to!!! Hey ho.Still losing head hair at a rate of knots and putting on weight . Anyone need someone to model for them as a bald buddha?Keep up the good work guys and gals - i spread the word at every opportunity. Ultra sound lady was sympathetic to the cause and agreed NHS fails thyroid patients.Kind regards
