A-F Betafood and milk thistle are excellent products to take. Give them some

time to work. Don't just jump into surgery because your doctor says so. Once

you've lost your GB, there is no going back.

Amber

I have had ultrasound and doctors found several

mid-size gallstones in my gallbladder and advised me

to have it removed. Some times there is pain,

sometimes I feel my stomach is full always.

I have done the Liver-Flush once last month and will

do that again soon. As per several emails in this

form, I'm taking A-F beta food supplements and

Milk-Thistle. So far nothing seems to be helping me

much either.

Thanks a lot Amber.

Is Af-F Betafood and Milk Thistle OK to take on

everyday basis or is it advisable to take them only of

if we have a pain/discomfort.

Also I was just curios to know, does my symptons look

like a typical GB attack ?

" I have been having stomach discomfort in my

upper abdomen for almost a year now. But it is not too

severe, but it is constant and stays for several

hours. It always starts around 7:00 PM and is

bothering through out the night. But strangely, I have

never experience these symptons during the day, even

om days when I have Pizza/donuts/fries for lunch. But

irrespective what I eat, the pain/discomfort begin in

the evening times.

Pls let me know if the above symptoms is a typical GB

attack.

I take Milk Thistle 3x a day. Used to take a lot of A-F Betafood after my first

(and only) GB attack. That attack was March 12, 2006. I have not had any pain

or discomfort since the attack. So I've tapered down on the A-F and only take

one tablet in the a.m. and one in the p.m. However, if I feel a little queasy

(which has happened just a few times - no pain), then I'll take some extra A-F.

A lot of GB attacks do occur in the evenings. However, your saying you feel

full and have some constant distress sounds like you should see if it's

something else. I wouldn't just jump to have my GB out, because that could

cause other problems, and might not even be the source of your problem.

Have any of you tried Liver Cleanse Formula? Nature's Sunshine put it out.

I have had ZERO problems w/my liver/gallbladder since taking this. I've

been on it for a year now and I'm 15 weeks pg as well. It's a

liver/gallblader cleanser AND builder. So it nourishes and builds as it

cleanses...and, it's extremely gentle on the liver. It's only $11.85 for a

bottle of 100. Here's a link to it:

Raj,

Does not sound like gallbladder but most likely is digestive. Try this

while you are sitting comfortably or are laying down to go to sleep. you must

be in a comfortable position and not using your body to hold this position. If

you need to use pillows, blankets or whatever to prop up the different body

parts, do so you may be relaxed.

Put the middle of the palm of your left hand on the area where it hurts

most. you will know where not only because of the pain but when you put your

hand in the right place it will " feel " right. The heel of your right hand needs

to be above the crease between your groin and your right leg with the fingers

pointing down over the crease and down the inside of your right thigh. If you

can, putting the bottom of your left foot to the inside of your right knee with

the heel above the knee and the toes below the knee will also help. If you feel

pulses with the bottom of your left foot after awhile, hold for a little while

longer and then move your left foot down to the instep of your right foot. This

may help a lot to relieve the discomfort. -Dave

I neglected to mention that I had pain in my liver/gallbladder area for two

solid years. There were times I would break out into a cold sweat and feel

like I was going to pass out the pain was so bad. I was/am on a great Milk

Thistle, but it never touched the pain for some reason. Within 24 hours of

being on Liver Cleanse Formula, the pain went away and hasn't

returned....I've been on it for a year. So, I know it's doing something

great for my body.

Thanks a million , Tara.

I will definetly give it a try.

I also tried gallcleanse for a month. No luck too.

I'am keen on trying Liv 52-

http://himalayahealthcare.com/products/liv_syrup.htm

Have heard some great success from Liv 52 too.

I had endoscopy done and they did not find any signs

of Ulcer or Reflux issues. So they are narrowing down

to Gall stones.

Thanks a lot again !

Cheers!

Oh Boy! That endoscopy was fun! This is the typical standard way of diagnosis

these days: Test the patient close to death (and to financial death) and come

to a conclusion by the process of elimination. To bad that they could not apply

that " process of elimination " to your condition. If they do an ultrasound and

cannot image a problem, I would really question their diagnosis. My gut feeling

on this one is they don't know what they are doing. Careful through the

process, make your own decisions. -Dave

Yes, it was I. I read about it in a newsletter I've taken from Dr. Bruce West

Actually it's 95 percent! He's quite a special doctor to deliberately help

people to the detriment of his own income. Anyway that's what got me started on

A-F Betafood. My nutritionist is in favor of it, too. Oh, by the way, I

emailed her about Nature's Sunshine Liver Cleanse Formula. This was her reply:

They do not only occur at night/evenings. I have had

them in the early afternoon and one I specifically

remember in the late morning.

Raj,

Also, what you have described I don't know if I would

consider an attack. Possibly a symptom of a problem,

but not an actual attack, depending on the severity of

your pain.

Here is some info from

http://www.gallbladderattack.com/index.shtml

Symptoms may include one or more of the following:

chest pain in the right side (caused by stones in the

bile duct or inflammation or swelling of the

gallbladder itself). Nausea or queasiness, vomiting

and gas are frequent. There may or may not be belching

or burping. The gall bladder, which sits just below

the rib cage to the right of the stomach, is very

tender to touch. It can be so painful that it takes

your breath away.

You may not be able to walk without bending over.

Sometimes the pain radiates through to the back

shoulder blade on the right side or in the middle

between the shoulder blades. This is pain from the

gallbladder being referred to the back of the

shoulder. This back shoulder blade chest pain is one

of the most common yet unknown symptoms of a

gallbladder disorder. This can come and go or be

constant. It may be sharp, excruciating or dull. It

may also occur especially at night.

A gallbladder attack will typically last for one to

four hours.

Hope this give a little more info.

,Thanks a lot for your response. I also had the

similar views and when I tell my Gastroentologist

regarding the severity of my pain to be very mild he

does not seem quite to get it.

He could find anything from upper endoscopy, blood

work , but when ultrasound should several mid-size

gallstones in my gallbladder he wants me to go in for

surgery. I'm not agreeing with with this. Unless it is

life saver I do not want to loose a organ.

Because the pain/discomfort I have is quite mild, but

it is quite constant and lasts for several hours

though.

So as our dear friends suggestion I have started on

A-F betafood, Milk-thistle.

Thanks a lot again,

Cheers,

Raj

A lot of them can occur in the evenings, particularly after a fatty meal.

That's what happened to me. But I doubt that's the only time they could occur.

Remember we are not doctors here. We only speak from our personal experience.

Amber

Thanks a lot Amber for checking with your ND reagring

Liver Cleanse Formula.

One last question regarding GB attack.

Does GB attack occur only in the evenings/night ?

Thanks in advance,

Raj

It actually does sound like a gall bladder issue to me. Not " attack "

but an issue. Remember that the digestive system is 100% related to

the gall bladder/liver. If it's not working right, neither will

they. The fact that it happens at night is a huge clue. I had the

same exact thing leading to my attacks. I would be fine all day, but

then at night it would hit. What concerns me is that you can eat all

that junk during the day, and then be in pain at night. It's the

junk you are eating! Just because it's delayed doesn't mean it's not

causing it. You might want to check out www.digestive-system-

help.com . There is some information there on food combining that

may take care of your pain immediately.

Thanks Evie. I will check that out.

I forgot to mention that before doing ultrasound

doctot put me on 'Nexium'. Since the results did not

change he ruled out Ulcer and Reflux.

But I do get pain even on the days I don't have junk

food or fatty meal.

Anways I will stick to my plan of A-F Betafood and

Milk thistle and see how it goes.

Sometiems it is quite tough to stay with pain though.

Thanks a lot again,

Raj

Raj,

I hope you are not still on the Nexium. It is a protein pump inhibitor and

will really screw up your digestion over the long run. Awful stuff. -Dave
