Thank you for the clarification. I've found the same

information, that about 10% of people have gallstones

but many have no symptoms. I wasn't debating that

many people have them, but saying most people isn't

factual. It would be like saying most people are

vegitarian (about 7%) and it's just not true.

Many people who suffer from a single attack, like

yourself, will never have problems again. I wish that

were my case, but over the last 20 months I have

suffered at least 7 attacks (I wish I would have

written them all down, but I didn't). My husband has

wanted to take me to the ER during several of these,

but I'm super stubborn (as you can probably tell).

During this time I thought it could be stones but my

first Dr. say it was only GERD, becasue my attacks

didn't happen after a fatty meal. I started looking

into muscle issues and anxiety. I now also have daily

tenderness in the area and over the past year I have

vomited several times for no reason, prior to this I

had not vomited in over 10yrs. I think had I had only

one or even two attacks the surgeon would have had me

wait it out, but because it has been going on for

nearly 2yrs he suggested surgery. Even though he sid

I could still wait it out, my major fear is another

attack that just won't quit due to a blockage and

having to have unplanned emergency surgery.

Don't remember your background. Have you cut out the foods that

trigger gallbladder attacks? Have you changed your diet that cause a

congested liver and gallbladder? Are you taking any supplements to

help the situation? Have you done any cleansing?

Just my opinion, but I still wouldn't have surgery after 10 years of

problems, let alone 2 years of problems. Surgeons are going to look

for a way to justify the service that they perform. Avoid it all

costs. Should be an absolute LAST resort. Sounds like you are not

there yet.

Have you seen the posts about the consequences of no gallbladder?

My take is that if you are trying to do the right things and you have

not figured it out, keep trying! I think of the gallbladder as a

warning mechanism. If you are having trouble there, it should be a

wake up call that your body is trying to tell you something. If you

remove that warning mechanism, then not only will you have to bear

the consequenses of not having that organ, but you may pay in other

ways as well.

Sometimes these things take hard work and perserverence. Good luck

to you. Hope you decide to hang in there!

I wish I had marked where I read that, because I definitely did read it. I've

only had the one attack but every once in awhile, I get a little queasy feeling

in my right rib/abdominal area and, when that happens, I take several A-F

Betafood tablets and it has always solved the problem, at least so far. Try

digestive aids and antifungals for your GERD. I hope you can continue to avoid

surgery.

How did you know that you had a GB attack? What were your symptoms?

Light colored stool may mean a congested liver (somewhat common).

I believe that ultrasounds reveal stones only of they are large

and/or calcified? But a large number of people have stones/sludge

that do not appear on ultrasounds. I had a pretty bad GB attack plus

ongoing symptoms. My ultrasound came back negative. But after some

cleanses and diet change, my GB problems are gone. I was lucky in

that my doctor did not recommend removal as most do. Otherwise, I

may be without that organ today. This was all before I learned about

cleansing, diet, etc.

Your options? Get the GB removed or cleansing/diet

change/supplements. Most in the medical profession will promote

removal. That is what they do.

Alternatively, Amber recommends seeing a naturopath. Don't know much

about them. But I do know that you can make much progress on your

own as most of us have done.

The cleanses eliminate stones in both the liver and the gallbladder.

I am sure that others will have a lot more to say on all of this...
