Hi all,

Still trying to recover from my trip to see Dr. P. in

Aberdeen...which was really exhausting but so worth it! I have to

start on natural dessicated thyroid in two weeks so want to order it

now - want to have it to hand when I have to start taking it. Dr. P.

suggested getting Nutri-Throid 130mg (1 grain) because of the

problems getting Armour and the higher cost - I've to take 65mg (1/2

grain) at first then increase from there....unfortunately, I can't

get 130mg - only 65mg or 195mg - it would be relatively more

expensive to get the 65mg and of course it won't be possible to cut

the other in 3... However, I notice that Westhroid is available in

130mg. Has anyone tried Westhroid or does anyone have any

information on it? I am trying to keep my costs down because I have

to get so many things (which I will, because it will make me better)

and I am a bit financially strapped as most of you are too. I've to

get some NA to take along with my NAE, ginseng and licorice tincture,

Co Q10, Vit C as well as my selenium, magnesium, calcium etc. at the

moment, then I need to take fluconazale and the Nature Throid as well

in a couple of weeks.

So, basically - what about Westhroid? Or can anyone suggest where I

CAN get Nutri-throid 130mg (1 grain)at a reasonable cost? I have

already spent a fortune on my consultation, travel etc. and muchos

meds so need to keep costs down if I possibly can.

Hi

I am so pleased you could make the journey to see Dr Peatfield in Aberdeen. Rest up over the next couple of days and get back your strength - it must have been really exhausting for you under your present circumstances.

You might find that Thyroid S (a generic of Armour) could be the medication for you. The thyroid powder that is used in Armour thyroid is the same thyroid powder that is used in all natural thyroid extract preparations but the fillers however, are different. Many get on very well with Thyroid S (which is manufactured in Thiawan) and it works out very much cheaper. You can buy this without prescription from Internet Pharmacies, and I think the most regular one is http://www.edrugnet.com/showprice.asp?name=Armour+thyroid & bysearch=ok & Go.x=15 & Go.y=15. Unfortunately they ONLY manufacture 1 grain (60mgs) tablets.

You will be unable to get any Armour from www.internationalpharmacy above 1 1/2 grains (90mgs) until the end of this year.

Westhroid is almost the same as NatureThroid and you can access them at http://www.westernresearchlaboratories.com/
