Lugols is the generic form of iodoral, in liquid form.

Just take lugols in or after starchy food, and then I think it works

the same.

There was a study done on iodized salt that showed only 10% of the

iodine was absorbed. Chloride in salt is a halogen, and that may

be the reason that prevented the iodine absorption. The halogens

compete with each other so iodine must be taken in much larger

quantities than the others, or it won't get absorbed. Also the fact

that the salt and iodine were combined may have exacerbated the

halogen effect.
