Guest guest
Hey there, The archives will be full of information about possible ways of dealing with the bilary colic. Because of what you described, the pain may not be the gallbladder. You went in, they ground around your gallbladder, it hurt, they did an ultrasound or something, it imaged stones, so they diagnose bilary colic. It is obvious you have stones and your gallbladder needs work but it is not obvious that the discomfort you are experiencing now is directly related to the diagnosis. you may have ended up with some type of dysbiosis from the antibiotic regimen. Might try things like probiotics, licorice, slippery elm and valerian or something similar and see if that helps. Then look at gallbladder health issues and deal with it over the long term. -D ----- Original Message ----- From: springlilies2001<mailto:lclark@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2008 8:18 PM Subject: Bilary Colic I am new to this group and I want some advice. I was in extreme pain over the weekend the ER doc stated it was Bilary Colic. The ER ran an ultrasound and I have mutiple gallstones. I don't want surgery if I can try alternative treatments first. I think the issue with my gall bladder occured because I was sick last month and on antibitotics for 3 of the 4 weeks. One antibiotic in particular caused this pain in my upper stomach area. The stomach got better when I stopped the medication but then a week later I end up in the ER with Bilary Colic. After my bout over the weekend all that remains is this nagging burning in my upper stomach area in the center of my chest. How can I be rid of this burning and work on gall stone without surgery. Guest guest
Antibiotic means against life and they kill everything, good and bad. Any time a person takes antibiotics, they should also take probiotics (not at the same time) to offset the damage the antibiotic does. You can buy a good brand at any health food store. Continue to take the probiotics for a period of time after you have stopped the antibiotics. Try it; it might help your discomfort. Amber I am new to this group and I want some advice. Guest guest
I sent my reply before reading yours. I totally agree with what you said. Lots of people have stones and never even know it. I had one GB attack and, of course, the tests shows " innumerable " stones. However, I'm still not convinced my pain was GB and could not have been something else. I refused surgery. Guest guest
If your gallbladder continues to hurt try taking A-F Beta food taken with meals - it has really helped me- I do not take it with every meal but if after a meal I feel discomfort I take 2 and it really helps. In addition to the probiotics to balance your system from the adverse effects of antibiotics you may want to incorporate fermented vegetables like sauerkraut, whole foods carries combination of fermented veggies all in one jar. And finally you may be a good candidate for a parasite cleanse as it invigorates the liver. Dr has a good one. Good luck On Jan 31, 2008, at 8:18 PM, springlilies2001 wrote: > I am new to this group and I want some advice. I was in extreme pain > over the weekend the ER doc stated it was Bilary Colic.
