Guest guest
I wouldn't call it " lucky " to have a Walmart in your town. Ha, ha, I have to agree with that! However, I don't enjoy an 80 mile trip for groceries either. If you understood that organic milk is not much different from conventional milk I completely understand that. It's still pasteurized. Just doesn't have the antibiotics and growth hormones. Amber .
Guest guest
lol I call them Wallfart =) I partially agree with your latter comment about milk. However the hormones found in non organic milk are a very serious problem. When Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone is injected into cows they produce 10 % more milk. Cows begin secreting much more insulin-like growth factor type 2 (IGF type 2) in response to the RBGH. Cows are getting chronic infections now and are being pumped full of antibiotics on a regular basis. Mastitis is a common finding and now we get more blood and puss in milk due to these infected udders. The FDA allow more puss and bovine blood in milk now that RBGH is used. IGF type 2 is identical in molecular structure to human IGF type 2. The human body uses IGF type 2 as a cell proliferator during adolesence. This is what makes us grow. After we stop growing IGF levels slightly decrease and the IGF is bound with other molecules rendering them inactive. By drinking 1 glass of non organic milk from cows injected with RBGH you are effectively doubling the amount of IGF type 2 in your body. Not only that but this is UNBOUND IGF type 2. IGF type 2 causes various forms of cancer due to the fact that it proliferates cell growth and developement at an accelerated rate. The FDA is still witholding one study which showed that every single lab rat developed cancer after exposure to IGF type 2. Freedom of Information Requests were rejected because Monsanto (manufaturer of RBGH) would lose money due to competition. At least thats the excuse that was given. Mothers milk whether it comes from a cow or a person is a hormone transmission substance. Nutrient and hormone transmission indeed survive digestion. The pH in the stomach is altered due to milks buffering from 1.8 to 6 after one glass of milk. Thereby rendering the HCL of the stomach inactive. This allows survival of hormones (IGF type 2) and nutrients into the body through the stomach and intestines. Hence the reason why every animal with mammary glands breast feed. This is excluding some humans as marketing is still trying to replace breast feeding. Non organic milk poses uncessisary health risks which are medically well doccumented. Unfortunately studies are ignored by the authorities that claim they are looking after our health. Studies are also manipulated to make something statistically significant - insignifcant and the same vice versa. Pesticides have unknown long term negative consequences for human and animals. DNA and RNA may be affected as well over long term exposure. If you'd like to read more about this: www.notmilk.com Book " Milk The Deadly Poison " Author Cohen Brad ps. various dairy farmers have been pressured by their own dairy councels and retailers threaten to not carry their milk if they do NOT inject their cows with RBGH. > > > > I live in a very small rural town in No. Central Texas. Guest guest
Did you know that Braum's dairy (available where I live) does NOT use rBGH in their cows? Guest guest
I called the company directly and asked about their products. They run their own dairy and their milk, ice cream, eggs, etc. are all organic. Amber Glad to hear that Amber =) Monsanto is fighting against gentically modified food labeling. I think consumers always should be given the choice considering human trials (short and long term) have never been conducted on any of their friek inventions. .
