Amber I read that poor muscle tone may keep the gallbladder from emptying completely. The presence of residual bile may promote the formation of gallstones. That kinda makes sense in my case. Guest guest Posted February 3, 2008 Report Share Posted February 3, 2008 I do both and I find them to be very different. Yoga involves stretching and holding a pose. Pilates involves more muscle work. I just bought a new Pilates DVD that came with a wide strap to help with the movements and that really engages the muscles.
