Guest guest
When you get better and then start to get bad again, it can be what's called the Herxheimer Effect. I copied this paragraph below from on-line: >Undoubtedly you'll have what is known as the die-off period when you first start your treatment. Also known as the Herxheimer Effect, die-off can be uneventful or it can make you feel as though you have a mild case of the flu. Be happy with the knowledge that this is a sure sign that you are starting to kill copious amounts of yeast from within and it's being expelled at a fast speed. If it makes you feel really terrible and you can't bear it, you can cut back on the anti-fungal supplements for a week. It has been said that using one anti-fungal for an extended period of time can cause the yeast to become resistant. For this reason, try and rotate them. > I try to rotate monthly. Please people sign up for the free newsletter at www.knowthecause.com and learn about this. Amber The whole antifungal thing has me totally confused. Some people say to rotate every 4 days while others say every 3-4 weeks. I tried GSE for the first time and my tongue almost totally cleared up within 5 days. It was like a miracle drug! Then on the 6th day, it got worse again - dissappointing. Maybe the 4-day rotation is the best approach? Also, some say that antifungals also kill the good bacteria. So how can you justify taking them? Any thoughts would be appreciated! .
