Guest guest
This list has welcomed all people who want to learn about gallbladder and liver health, with or without a gall bladder. All anyone can ask is that sticking to the topic, common courtesy, and netiquite is adhered to. Some have fought valiantly to keep their gallbladder and lost it to surgery eventually. Some had lost their gall bladder before coming here or very shortly after. My Brother in Law got me thinking about my gall bladder because he did several flushes and decided to have his gall bladder removed in the end (he was never on this list). I came to this list to learn more, and have since done 9 flushes. There's nothing wrong with my gall bladder or liver that I know of, but possibly due to my brother in Law's experience motivating me to look into it. I have informed people of the existence of the support list for those who have had their gall bladders removed, but with the understanding that they were also welcome here. Best Regards, Vince > > I wouldn't be so quick to limit this group as only existing for " people who do not want surgery . . . " I've been here for almost 7 years, 4 1/2 of those without a gallbladder. Most of the health information disseminated here is good for anyone to follow, with or without a gallbladder. Dave's learned advice alone is worth the price of admission! :-) Newbies are quite often in a state of panic when they first come on here and don't always sound as if they are fully committed to the alternative treatment. That's not a bad thing. Rational people gather information and think things through before making decisions. Decisions made in haste based only on emotional responses to a problem are often regretted later. This can certainly apply to someone getting their gallbladder jerked out first thing. But it can also apply to someone who insists on pursuing one and only one healing course of action, even natural, if it does not seem to be solving the problem. > > I don't think this group is so unsure of itself that it is incapable of coping with legitimate questions from frightened newcomers. Now trolls or others looking to simply cause trouble, that's another story. But to banish someone to another list simply because they think maybe they need to have the surgery, is not what we're about here. At least it wasn't the way this list functioned when I first joined. Are those of us who have had our gallbladders removed to be banished too? What if we cannot in honesty claim that we are dying or otherwise in much worse health since having our gallbladders out? Should we be kicked out because our scenario does not match the " party line " that says if you get your gallbladder out the rest of your life you will suffer miserably with all manner of health problems? What if, after having the surgery we follow some of the good advice on here and find our health, even our digestive health to be vastly improved from what it was even years before the surgery? Would that not be a good thing? > > I would hate to see this become such an elitist group that only a few people, all with the same ideas and in the same " condition " , could belong. > > > AMDG, > Colleen Kessler > > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Amber > gallstones > Sent: Tuesday, February 19, 2008 5:56 PM > Subject: Re: AMBER and whomever else had a problem with my post...Re:Who else in the group has a low functioning GB? > > > I totally agree that you (and everyone else) has to do what you deem best for your body. If you are leaning toward surgery, perhaps you should join a group of people who had had this surgery so that they can help you. This group is for people who do not want surgery and are doing everything we can to keep our internal organs. Perhaps that's why you aren't getting satisfactory answers to your questions. I mean this for your very best interest. > > Amber > > I finally got > answers to questions I've been asking the group all > along, thanks to the surgeon. I felt very alone on > this.
