Guest guest
Hi Evie, The liver is responsible for metabolizing those pain meds so liver herbs like milk thistle, bhumy amalaki (phyllanthus, chancha peidra), and burdock will be helpful. For the nausea the ginger is the ticket but you will probably need to get a quantity in. Either in caps or taking fresh ginger and making a strong tea. Sip it very frequently and as you can tolerate drink more and more until relief is attained. -D ----- Original Message ----- From: Evie Maddox<mailto:evie@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Tuesday, March 11, 2008 2:55 PM Subject: Suggestions for Nausea Please respond right away if you think you can help to evie@...<mailto:evie@...> . I'm on digest so I won't get it if you respond to the group. I had 3 teeth pulled yesterday. I started throwing up this morning because of the pain medicine. Now I am still nauseated even though I haven't taken one since 10 am. I think it built up in my system. What is the best way to get it out, and what can I take for the nausea? I don't want to eat anything, which reminds me of that morning sickness you get during pregnancy. (I'm NOT pregnant). I have some green tea with ginger. I wonder if the hot cocoa w/ nutmeg would work? I'm taking some vit C's hoping it will help get the drugs out. And I'm trying not to take anymore drugs like Tylenol or advil so my liver can do its thing. Any more suggestions? Have a healthy day! Guest guest
Evie: Years ago, I had nausea as a side effect from painkillers after getting my wisdom teeth out, and to be honest I just toughed it out for a day or so. I was pretty miserable for a few hours, but the pain subsided to the point where I could sleep, and that helped a lot. The nausea passed pretty quickly once I stopped taking the pills. Good luck... > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Evie Maddox<mailto:evie@...> > gallstones <mailto:gallstones > > Sent: Tuesday, March 11, 2008 2:55 PM > Subject: Suggestions for Nausea > > > Please respond right away if you think you can help to evie@...<mailto:evie@...> . > I'm on digest so I won't get it if you respond to the group. > > I had 3 teeth pulled yesterday.
