Guest guest
Hello Everyone: I've read and read all of the reasons for rotating, and understand the reasoning behind it. However, I read an entire book on Olive Leaf Extract, and apparently, the yeast does not mutate to or become resistant to Olive leaf Extract. Has anyone else heard this??? I'm just curious as I was taking it for about four months straight???? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Stacey Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Guest guest
I have always been told to rotate, rotate, rotate....that the yeasties just get so easily immune to things. Guest guest
Hi: I'm new to the group and I just discovered the root of all my sorrow! YEAST! Sigh... Anyway... My Homeopath put me on the following and I'd like to know if anyone else has had experience with this type of regime. It seems there is a diff. regime for each person out there! Phellostatin - A Chinese Traditional Formula for Candida Shen-Gem - (same, but for sleep and energy balance and regulation due to adrenal gland exhaustion) Ultra Flora Plus - Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifodobacterium infantis Plus I take a multi vitiamin (without yeast), every other day on my own and Flax Seed Oil and Maganesium. She said to pay attention to my diet as far as yeast intake and sugars but not to get to obsessed about it all. But from what I am reading it is very important to take the diet seriously. Any thoughts and expereince anyone can send my way would be much appreciated. I've been dibilitated with this problem, it seems from my history, ALL of my life and I certainly want to be rid of it! Guest guest
BonnieAnn, I know those yeasties are more stubborn than I am! And that is not an easy task...LOL What I don't understand is...and I am sure I have asked this before...but if yeast doesn't get resistant to grapefruit seed extract...why couldn't a health dose of GSE, Probiotics and sticking to the diet rid those creatures? Oh and taking the biotin so more can't grow? > Moons, > > YOUR RIGHT ON WITH THIS ONE.... Guest guest
I use coconut oil and garlic. I do not roatate these. I eat them both almost everyday (sometimes I lay off the garlic if I know I will have to do some heavy socializing). I have heard that the candida cannot become immune to natural anti-fungals, so there is no need to rotate. However, I could be wrong on this (i.e. I have not seen any hard evidence that states that this is true). -Patty >From: Mhidinout@... >Reply-candidiasis >candidiasis >Subject: Rotating AntiFungals >Date: Tue, 2 Dec 2003 18:14:05 EST > >Can anyone please tell me if you can/should rotate NATURAL antifungals? > >I know it's pretty much a must with the prescription versions, but I >haven't >seen anyone mention rotating the natural ones. > >Also, what types of antifungals is anyone using? Guest guest
I have been told to rotate them every 4 days. In other words, give one for 4 days, then switch to the next one, and keep cycling them. This is according to www.modernherbalist.com, which has pretty good advice on this approach. It has worked well for me with my son. Guest guest
Rotate monthly, not every few days. Check www.knowthecause.com because that's exactly what he writes about. Sign up for the free newsletter. Guy has an antifungal kit with specific explanation on how and when to rotate what. www.bioactivenutrients.com. Amber I am a 47 year-old male. I think that I have had a candida problem most of my life. But I had not ever heard of it until last year. My understanding is that most people recommend some combination of the following: 1) starve the fungus - sugar/carbs/food combining 2) physical removal - colon cleansing 3) kill the fungus - anti-fungals 4) repopulate good bacteria - probiotics I am a little familiar with caprylic acid as I use coconut oil which I understand contains caprylic acid. Do you recommend rotating the anti-fungals as some people recommend as often as every 4 days? .
Guest guest
> > Hi Bee & Friends > > I'm doing well on the program and finding coconut oil a very effective > antifungal is the diet and lots of VCO enough to build my immune system > up or should I add more antifungals to my diet? Hi Sophie. Hopefully you are also taking " all " of the supplments I recommend since they work together with the diet to provide all of the proper nutrients your body needs to build up its immune system. Antifungals are so much less important than diet plus supplements, including coconut oil too which is not only antifungal but also provides good fats and nutrients important for your immune system. Don't go overboard on taking coconut oil, since it should be started at small amounts and increased slowly, in order to minimize healing/die-off reactions. Candida isn't cured by " killing it off " with antifungals. It is only cured by building up your immune system. You would add one other antifungal when you are able to take 6 tbl. coconut oil without getting severe die-off reactions. >I find my eyes suffer quite a bit from die off they're sore, watery and often puffy is this normal - anything I can do to help? +++All of your eye symptoms are caused by die-off/healing/detox reactions (all the same thing). If they are intolerable you can cut back on the amount of coconut oil and increase it more slowly. To assist with your eye symptoms see " Eye Treatments " ; http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/treat9.php When I did my candida program my body detoxified through my eyes for 3 months. > > Also one last question as I have had symptoms of candida for quite a few years and monthly yeast infections for a long time is this likely to affect my fertility? +++Yes, it can affect your fertility, and it isn't a good idea to get pregnant until you have cured your candida since your baby will be born with a depressed immune system, including candida. Your fertility is also affected by a lack of proper nutrients that are important for reproduction. The reason candida affects your fertility is mainly because its toxins cause all cell membranes to become stiff/rigid, which interferes with the functioning of organs throughout the body, including those that produce hormones, and it also means cells aren't as able to get nutrients, hormones, etc. needed, and they are less able to get rid of their own waste and toxins - see " Candida Causes Cell Membrane Defects " for more details: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cabout1.php To understand better how babies acquire candida, see this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/baby.php Best wishes to you too, Bee
