Guest guest
Val, I sent the message below a little while ago, but I think it got lost in the flurry of messages to and fro over the forum. I was wondering whether you could give me further info re your experience re amalgam removal. Please see my original message below. Anything that you are willing to share would be greatly appreciated. P Val, I really appreciate your response. It is good to get other points of view and I will DEFINITELY keep this in mind and avoid the chlorella. I am allergic to sulfa (as opposed to sulphur) based drugs, so is this what the chlorella contains? Did the amalgam removal help you? I've got a monster amalgam that was supposed to be covered by a crown but I never got around to it. It covers almost an entire tooth and it is a tooth at the back of my mouth that I chew with. I have two other amalgams in my mouth as well. Before I knew any better, I had an amalgam removed at a 'normal' dentist because they thought they needed to do root canal work, but the tooth was too damaged so it had to be extracted. Makes me wonder whether I was protected properly while the amalgam was being 'drilled' out. After the extraction, I never quite felt right. I think they broke the bone in the jaw. It was worse than child birth (not kidding!) I now wonder whether it wasn't the extraction that was the main problem but the way the amalgam was removed. I felt quite unwell. What did they do when they removed your amalgam? I had a dental dam and a vacuum thingo, but nothing much else. I'd really appreciate hearing what the dentist did with you. Guest guest
Hi Patersonia, I will DEFINITELY keep this in mind and avoid thechlorella. I am allergic to sulfa (as opposed to sulphur) baseddrugs, so is this what the chlorella contains? V; I am not sure of the details, I think it is a 1 thiol thing which moves mercury but does not chelate (need 2 thiols to chelate) & so can further mess up the brain because of moving the mercury. I am not sure at all about the sulphur aspect & have chosen to ignore this for now - my diet is difficult enough being vegetarian. Did the amalgamremoval help you? V; I had got to the stage where I truely thought that I was dying, I felt ill all the time. I have had a slight "reminder" the last couple of days in that at times I have found it difficult to speak & words sort of want to come out wrong - because I am in the middle of chelation at the moment - 35mg ALA every 3 hours day & night, which I still need to do - probably for a year or few 3 days on & then at least as many days off (usually a week or so I take off). There is no comparison in how I was before to how I am now. I was finding it difficult to drive & would only drive on back roads & then at times had a job to keep in my half of road while going extremely slowly - last week we went away & I did all the driving & found it completely normal. Also I felt well the whole time we were away which is a first for holidays for years for me as I am always more on the go then than at home. I've got a monster amalgam that was supposed tobe covered by a crown but I never got around to it. V; You are lucky because you can now make sure that it is replaced before covering with a crown. Lots of people have hidden amalgams under crowns. Also make sure that there is no metal in crowns. It coversalmost an entire tooth and it is a tooth at the back of my mouththat I chew with. I have two other amalgams in my mouth as well. Before I knew any better, I had an amalgam removed at a 'normal'dentist because they thought they needed to do root canal work, butthe tooth was too damaged so it had to be extracted. V; I had many removed by normal dentists before deciding to finally get rid of the rest safely - perhaps that is why I had such a mercury problem as I always got mouth ulcers afterwards & felt ill for a while too. Pls do not get any root canals - you do not want a dead tooth in your mouth - I can suggest a couple of groups where they will explain this well for you if you want. When I had my amalgams removed they cut them out quickly - seemed rather like a knife into butter, before then drilling as required for any decay bits etc. I was covered head to foot & had wet pads under my goggles, I had oxygen, rubber dam, rinsed with chlorella - can't remember too much detail but perhaps that is the lot. Guest guest
Val, Thanks so much for the info. I took a little gasp when I read the precautions that they took with you. Those precautions were NOT taken with me so in all likelihood I was breathing in mercury vapour during the procedure - and we all know how good mercury vapour is for your health. No wonder I felt like % & ^* afterwards. The mercury as well as a fractured jaw can do that to you! Advice about root canals appreciated and noted.
