Guest guest
olive oil has to be extra virgin to get most benefit. " Light " oilive oil may be contaminated with petroleum sources as it is a blend of other oils as well. Olive oil is deficient in one of the omega's, not sure if it is 3 or 6. Fish oils, other oils (esp. flaxseed) contain both 3 & 6. fjnie1234 <Fred.Niehaus@...> wrote: I remember reading that the omega 3 to omega 6 ratio is important with most of us getting too little omega 3's. Does olive oil contain omega 6? If so, wouldn't it make the imbalance problem worse if we are not careful? --- In gallstones , Battaglia <fbattaglia@...> wrote: > > Olive oil will not hurt you - if you like olives you may want to make > them a daily part of your diet. > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
We take olive oil by mouth also.......we have found that once a day drinking one can of V8 tomato juice with 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil is ok to the taste. I don't know if it helps with the bugs but we drink it for our hearts. Rita Re: Sense of smell and taste Hi Lou,Thanks for the advice. I like the esp soap a lot, but I'm not sureabout the balm, as to how much good it's doing. I tried youroregano/clove oil recipe on my skin yesterday. I mixed it in almondoil, and slathered it all over. I stood around looking in the mirrorfor about 15 minutes, hoping to see alien pop out of my chest orsomething, but nothing happened. It was a good experiment though. I'm going to try it on my scalp next, and beef up the oregano oil. When I woke up this morning, I could feel a few tiny bugs crawling invarious parts of my skin. I'm not sure what this means, if the oilchased them out of my skin or what. As you suggest, I'm going tostick with the esp products for awhile and see what happens. I do putbalm on the soles of my feet, because I know the bugs love my feet. Also, this weekend I did a 3 night olive oil liver/gallbladdercleanse, so that may have thrown off the bug situation. Usually, thebugs go away when I drink olive oil.Best wishes to you, myrtle>> Hi Myrtle,> I thought that my bugs were back because I kept feeling like my feetwere getting bitten again.> It was after I started doing the oil and clove oil on them that alot of black specs started coming out and still is. They don't feelthat way now. > Keep using the esp products even on the bottom of your feet. Use thesoap and keep it on for 24 hours at a time. This is what is helping me.> Lou> Canada Toolbar : Search from anywhere on the web and bookmark your favourite sites. Download it now! Guest guest
I think some of the old healthy mediterranean people drink a little olive oil everyday, like you and your husband. Here's my olive oil liver flush recipe. There are many iterations of the olive oil liver flush. The first one I ever tried was from a Hawaiian healer, which called for drinking 8 ounces of olive oil for 3 consecutive days -- it made me so sick! Anyways, here's a kinder and wimpier version: Liver Flush Do this at bedtime for 3 nights in a row if you can. If you cannot, then do it one night. The liver flush cleanses and strengthens the functioning of the liver and gallbladder. If you have gallstones, this may flush them out of your system and you will see the gallstones in your stool. If you already know that you have some large gallstones, then don't do this because it might cause the stone(s) to dislodge and get stuck in a duct. The liver flush has been used in the Mediterranean region for a long time. It is a good way to maintain the health of the liver and gallbladder and to prevent gallstones. It ideally should be done once or twice yearly. Blend well: (note: ¼ cup = 2 ounces) ¼ cup olive oil (get good quality virgin or extra virgin olive oil with a greenish tinge; olive oil from the Mediterranean region is best) ¼ cup orange juice ¼ cup lemon or lime juice ¼ teaspoon cayenne powder 2 medium cloves fresh garlic, crushed (optional) Drink this and then lie down on your right side with your legs pulled up toward your chest in a fetal-like position and stay like that for about 40 minutes. Then go to sleep. If it makes you feel queasy, sip on some peppermint tea. Do this three nights in a row if you can. It will clean your blood and you should feel very good by the third day. If you have never done this before and your liver has a lot of junk in it, you may get very nauseated. If that is the case, stop after the first night and try again in a month. Do this when you do not have anything important to do the following day, in case it makes you feel sick. If it makes you feel sick, it's because you had a lot of junk in your liver and the junk that your liver releases into your bloodstream is what makes you feel sick. myrtle > > > > Hi Myrtle, > > I thought that my bugs were back because I kept feeling like my feet > were getting bitten again. > > It was after I started doing the oil and clove oil on them that a > lot of black specs started coming out and still is.
