Flushes work without epsom salts. I have done 3 flushes, just with olive oil

and lemon juice. One flush was a 9 day procedure with small amounts of each

daily. The final day was the big does and I just couldn't stand the thought of

drinking that much with lemon juice. I used grapefruit juice and it went down a

lot easier.

I want to flush again, but it's not going to

work if I keep throwing up the lemon and oil mixture! Any suggestions?

Is there a very big risk of the stones getting stuck and having pain if you

don't use Epsom salt? I suppose I could always drink the Epsom salt in the

morning to help with any stones that might have been stuck? Did you not eat

any fat for 9 days?

The flushes have been specifically designed to increase chances of success. To

stimulate contraction of the gallbladder and large amounts of bile release

without trying to relax the common bile duct is a bit risky to say the least.

To then take magnesium afterwards to relax the duct but not stimulate the flush

may have no effect. -Dave

The purpose of the flush is to SOFTEN the stones so that they are able to pass.

When I had my one and only attack (March 12, 2006), I studied about it and did 3

flushes, under the direction of my nutritionist. She never mentioned Epsom salt

and I never heard about it until I joined this group. Personally I can't bring

myself to use it and never found it necessary. I passed hundreds of stones and

some were 3/4 of an inch. If you want info on the flushes I did, write me

personally and I'll see if I can find it again. No, I did not stop eating fat

for 9 days. I use olive oil in salads and in cooking, also coconut oil in

cooking.

I thought the purpose of the malic acid (either in apple juice or as a

supplement) was to soften the stones. The purpose of the olive oil is

to cause the gallbladder to contract. Am I wrong on this?

You are correct within the scope of a " flush " but the olive oil will also help

to dilute the bile a bit when taken regularly. -Dave

As you will hear from others flushes work without epsom salts -

however the salts help dilate and prevent stones from lodging- you

may want to substitute grapefruit juice- fresh squeezed is the best-

to help with the nausea-

good luck

From Hulda s's website, " You can't clean a liver with parasites

living in it. You won't get many stones, and you will feel quite

sick. ...complete the parasite killing program before attempting a

liver cleanse " .

I see two questions here:

1) Is the parasite cleanse really necessary to get an effective liver

cleanse?

2) Does the lack of a parasite cleanse cause nausia when doing a liver

cleanse?

Thoughts on this???
