My daughter didn't even notice her helmut. Her head is great now. Granted, she has a head full of curly hair and who could see anything but really, even with wet hair, her head is nice and round. She had moderate to severe plagio and tort. Your baby will be just fine. We used the DOC band and had very good orthotists. Jen

Guest guest
I have to agree. Once the casting was over the anticipation of the helmet was what drove us crazy! Initially we were told it would take three weeks, and I was relieved to have all that time to prepare myself. It ended up being ready in 2 weeks, but by the second day of waiting I was so ready! Hang in there! ~ 's mom, 5 months Massachusetts Re: thanks everyone In a message dated 12/17/01 11:48:47 PM Central Standard Time, frogfur@... writes: << I wish I could take her to get it right now, because the anticipation is what is the hardest thing for me. >> Oh boy can I relate to that!! Guest guest
Hi Alaina, I'm sorry I'm so late with this but I also wanted to welcome you to our wonderful little group! I know exactly how your are feeling towards the band, the wait is just awful sometimes! Its really amazing how quick the kids adjust to the bands while its us parents that take awhile getting used to it. Even though I fought to get my babies banded, I almost cried when my ortho put it on their heads. I couldn't wait for the day they graduated from it. But the funny thing is, when the time came for them to graduate, I didn't want it to be over. The band and all the fun that came with it had become such a huge factor in our lives that it was a little depressing to end that chapter in my babies lives. But then again, I am just a sentimental (just mental?) old fool sometimes. Provided that things go as they are supposed to go, your Abby will be a graduate in no time because the time really does fly by! Good luck getting the helmet today. Let us know how Abby as well as Mom and Dad adjust to it!! Niki Kaylie & Danny (STAR grads) Phila., PA > I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for welcoming me into this > group. Guest guest
Thanks to all those who offered helpful advice. Mom went into ER last night and will be going into surgery so I guess that finishes any option for her to use the gallbladder flush. But just wanted to thank everyone for the help anyway. Since I belong to so many groups already I'll be ending my membership here but again, thanks for everything Chris
Guest guest
Hi I routinely perform liver flushes without the gall bladder all the time. The liver is what needs really cleaning. The gallbladder is only there to hold the bile. It is the liver that gets clogged and produces the stones and sludge. I have performed many liver flushes since losing my gallbladder. I have seen dramatic results in my health by doing so. I have also passed stones since having my gallbladder removed so the problem is not totally solved by surgery.
