Guest guest
Lynn ~ I love volleyball ! It is such a fun game. I am glad you are having fun and getting stronger ! Puts some spice in your life. This is what I miss.......the living part. I have only existed for the last 2 years. Quite a lesson of patients and just learning to be, and me actually stopping long enough to learn me. I have even learned to make my choices based on me and what my wants and needs are instead of always baseing it on others. Now I can find the happy and healthy medium. I didnt realize I forgot all about me. I never based anything on me, ever. In a way, I guess it was also sort of a copout, I didnt have to face my feeling unworthy of myself. Whats the great thing, this last 2 years I have learned so much, and am so greatful for the alone time that has left me to look at myself and see just who I am, turns out I do love me, and am worthy.. I have been the whole time, just didnt see it.... Kewl, huh? Now I gotta get well, and get to living again..... I played on a VB team in highschool and was on the All Stars team, I would love to play again... Love ya ~ DedeGet a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com. Guest guest
Lynn, Check out Garden of Life Living Calcium . . . and/or Blue Bonnet High Potency Minerals. I've found both of them very effective in stopping my feet from burning (Erythromelalgia). Guest guest
When you take Magnesium, you should take it several times a day, rather than once a day. It leaves the body too quickly to take all at once. . ,. It kicks in in about one hour, lasts for six hours. First thing in the a.m. and last thing at night are two good times. Guest guest
I have both - I just need to add both in to my daily routine. I was so tired of taking 10+ supplements a day that I cut it down to my probiotic and a multi-vitamin. I still have all the others. Thanks for the advice Dede. Volleyball was much easier than last week. I think my arms are getting stronger and can take the beating of the ball. Now I just have hemmies and my toe issue. Guest guest
Lynn, IBS is a diagnosis they give you when they can't explain your digestive problems in another way. I bought the Acacia powder from my naturopath, but I am pretty sure you can buy it from health food stores. It is the easiest fibre I have ever taken. I am actually going like once a day now which is a bit of a miracle for me:) Here is a link for it, although I am sure you can find it at many health food stores: http://www.amazon.com/s-Tummy-Organic-Acacia-CANISTER/dp/B0009XFYSG Katy:) --- Lynn <spinkscl@...> wrote: > Katy, where did you get the powder? Guest guest
Lynn, I am doing ok. Getting through the days anyway... Have had some pretty intense pain lately, but think it has to do with where I am in my cycle. I had the pain last month too when I thought it was appendix rather than ovary. I see a surgeon on Tues so will find out more then. I am happy to tell you that I have new hope in my explant quest. I found a surgeon just outside of Toronto who has removal listed in her procedures. I made an consult with her for Sept 20th and when I asked her office is she does a total capsulectomy they said yes! I am crossing my fingers that I may be able to have my implants removed here properly. Hope you are having a nice weekend. It is raining here so I don't feel like I have to do very much except relax. Guest guest
Dede, sounds worse!! I have a thrombosed one too but it is near the opening and my doctor tells me to leave it alone because if I get it removed she says I will have issues with leaking bowels! So she tells me to just stick it back up in my butt when it comes out - nice! Nothing like sticking my finger up my butt 10 times a day. It started out really small years and years ago but now it is pretty big and gets bigger when it flares. It is always there. Hate it. I do need to try the kegels an do them all the time. It would be wonderful if it helped. Lynn Re: Colonics Lynn ~ I had a horrible problem with hemmies for years. When I learned how beneficial kegels were, I did them just to see if it really worked, and yes, they do, I havent had hemmies since ! I actually had one that thrombosed and would not go away, so I had to have it cut off. Most humiliating position to be in...... anyway, the doc showed it to me. It was huge size of a large marble ! no wonder it hurt so ! Nothing like kneeling on a small step, then getting lifted up high where your bum is what is up high........ .and the doctor is talking to your butt, while he cuts off and carterizes your butt ! ! Worse than a pap smear ! LOL...... Loveya ~ Ded Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL.com.

Guest guest
Lynn, The ideal is to go once for each meal you eat. . . Without straining! There are a number of things that can contribute to constipation . . . pain meds are one . . . ionic foot bats . . . any sweat therapy (unless you are drinking enough water). . . When I had my implants, I would miss several days (at least), then everything would break loose for a day or so. . . I thought this was 'normal' for me. . . Only when I got straighten out did I realize that was a problem. You really need to move the wastes out regularly . . . Sometimes it helps if you pick a time of day where you just sit down and try to go - every day at the same time. . . probably following a meal. Take a book . .. take your time . . . eventually your body will get the message! I've always found it hard to go away from home. . . When I can, it's where/when I feel very comfortable. Guest guest
Rogene, Wow. I only wish I could go that many times. Since implants, it is seriously once a week or less. I must be full of $hit. The timing thing is a great idea! There are many times where I feel like I really have to go, and then I try and nothing. Almost every single time I have to strain to get anything to come out, and then usually it is just one little ball. It is even worse when I travel. I have had to resort to Ex-lax when I have traveled in the past. Perhaps a colonoic can loosen this all up and get me started. I'd really like to be regular. I am also going to try the fiber that Katy recommended. Hugs, Lynn Re: Colonics Lynn, The ideal is to go once for each meal you eat. . . Without straining! Guest guest
Lynn, You might want to test for food allergies also, and specifically celiac disease. Those with Hashimoto's often have celiac disease in addition. I don't know what the connection is, but you may need to avoid anything with gluten in it and see if that helps. That would be anything made with wheat, rye, and barley flours, among other grains. came on our group not too long ago to give her testimony that after suffering for many months with digestive issues, it was the gluten that was doing it to her. Once she got off the gluten products, things leveled out for her. It's hard, I know, but you get used to it eventually! You have to think about what you CAN eat instead of what you can't. Guest guest
Patty is right about the allergies. Before I became really ill, it seemed as if my body was rejecting everything I put in it. Turns out I had developed sensitivities to wheat and gluten as well as sensitivity to a host of other things. Avoidance works and so does a rotation diet although it's kind of a pain when you are limited w/ the number of foods anyway. What a few doctors have recommended to me is NAET therapy. Today I my chiropractor told me that my body is sensitive to B vitamins and therefore not absorbing them. So she used NAET therapy on me to clear my body of all current B vitamins. After 25 hours I can reintroduce them and my body should readily absorb them...at least that is what I am counting on!!!!- PH > > > > > > > > >Lynda, > > > > > > > > > >I have tried everything you've mentioned but I > > am > > > > still constipated > > > > >- I used Garden of Life Probiotics and I admit > > I > > > am > > > > better than I > > > > >used to be but I still have issues.
