Guest guest
Hi Sheila, thought I'd give you an update about today's appointment today my left eye has been very swollen, the entire eyelid's very red and painful like toothache in it. anyway, I had an appointment to see a new GP, took my letter along. The Dr I had booked with wasn't on, so saw Locum, thought to myself " here we go again " anyway, I gave him the letter and he sat and read it. He has put me for a complete TSH blood test to include ft3/4 and antibodies, but he did say that it was actualy up to the lab, which I understood. However, he did put on the blood order that I have actually been diagnosed as Hypothyroid but not on any medication. He said, this may give them a kick in the right direction. He has also tested me for ESR, glucose, cholesterol, heart, lungs, littery everything. I;ll post the results once I get them. If I get prescribed thyroxine I'll have to speak to Dr P about introducing it. I really hope it is the lack of hormones that is causing my eye problems only having one eye and now it playing up in the good one is a big worry, blurred vision and pain isn't nice. The Dr did say that you can get sinus infections if you hypo. We;ll see how this goes.
