Guest guest
The shoulder pain us definitely from the surgery. I had to have three follow-up emergency surgeries from the complications and in each time the gas had not yet cleared completely and the pain was quite intense! To this day if I get gas pains in my intestinal tract I feel it in my shoulder like crazy. I agree it would be nice if the FICA told you about that part but at lead I expected it after reading this forum! Thankfully it dies subside! > > the shoulder pain is most likely gas from the surgery. When they do surgery laproscopically (keyhole to you Brits), they pump your body full of CO2 to open up the surgical areas. It can lodge in your shoulders and can be quite painful but goes away after a few days. > Another of those things that the docs and hospitals don't tell you about. > Otherwise, sounds like you are well on your way to improvement. It may take some time to get over the psychological blocks to eating but it's exciting at the same time. > Good luck and rest well. > > ~ in NC >
