Guest guest
I take powdered malic acid in the days leading up to the flush which is suppose to soften the stones. For those who know for sure that they don't have a candida problem, the malic acid can be obtained by consuming large amounts of apple cider in the days leading up to the cleanse rather than the powdered form. In s Moritz book, he recommends no animal products in the days leading up to the cleanse. He also recommends no supplements or medicines that are not absolutley essential. And definitely no fat intake the day of the cleanse. Hope this helps... > > I have done few gallbladder flushes. the first flushes produced > several small stones but lately I dont get any stone out. Guest guest
The purpose of the olive oil in the flushes is to soften the stones so that they can pass. Have you had a sonogram to see if you still have stones? Your other problems could be due to a fungal problem. If your doctor won't prescribe Nystatin, go to a health food store and buy some natural antifungals. If you want a list of where to buy them cheaper on-line, write to me privately. Amber I have done few gallbladder flushes. the first flushes produced several small stones but lately I dont get any stone out. I have skin problems, eczema, adult acne and psoriasis and tiredness. I guess the stones are big and stuck. Is there any way to dislove them so that they finally move out in the next cleanse? .
Guest guest
The purpose of the olive oil is to make the GB contract in hopes of expelling some stones with the contraction. That is why you don't consume fat the day of the cleanse. The GB builds up bile when no fat is present. Then, when it is hit with a whole bunch of fat at once, the olive oil, it gives a pretty stong contraction or squeezing effect. The more bile stored up, the better chance of expelling some stones. The purpose of the malic acid is to soften the stones. As an alternative to the malic acid, www.sensiblehealth.com offers some supplements that is suppose to soften the stones as well. > > The purpose of the olive oil in the flushes is to soften the stones so that they can pass. Guest guest
Rockin' rollin'. Fred as usual is right on the money. Lecithin will help also. Keep in mind the major components of bile and the balance of such to keep things in suspension: Cholesterol (80% of all gallstones in western culture are " cholesterol " stones), Water (believe it our not the main constituent as the bile leaves the liver. The bile that travels up the gallbladder bile duct and ends up in the gallbladder is then concentrated by the assimilation of some of this water), therefore lots of water is also very effective in dissolution of stones. Lecithin: an emulsifier, has both a lipo (fat) and hydro (water) end to emulsify fats and water (bile is like mayonnaise, a combo of fats and aqueous components), one of the main ingredients to keep the cholesterol in suspension (if it does not stay in suspension it coagulates into what some call " stones " ). Bile salts: Acids bound to a mineral (technically visa versa). This is where the malic acid that Fred mentioned is so important. Acids are dissolving (most of the time). The second largest solid ingredient of western gallstones is mineral in composition. If you do not have the bile acids to balance then the minerals precipitate (not a wanted thing). For those of you of Asian decent or geographical location this is a bit different: The major type of gallstone is (billirubin) which is the next component: Billirubin; the pigment in red blood cell (you turn over red blood cells constantly. These are the truckers of oxygen. The liver is responsible for the filtering of old (several days) truckers and the elimination of such through none other than your bile. We need a happy mix of the previous. If the balance goes out... Ouch! Help!... I think I am going to die!... Maybe, but let's try some things first... -Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: fjnie1234<mailto:Fred.Niehaus@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2008 6:38 AM Subject: Re: new here and few questions about big gallstones The purpose of the olive oil is to make the GB contract in hopes of expelling some stones with the contraction. Guest guest
Dave, I am not clear on how lecithin helps. In one of your previous posts, you had mentioned that certain foods/supplements can be catagorized into cleansers, regenerators, or protectors of the liver. Where does lecithin fall into these categories? Thanks. > > > > The purpose of the olive oil in the flushes is to soften the stones > so that they can pass. Guest guest
It is suppose to be reliable, but I would back it up with one of the questionaires that you can find on the web. Google it. The questionaires will give you a score of mild, moderate, severe, etc. based on your responses. > > > >> I have done few gallbladder flushes. the first flushes produced > >> several small stones but lately I dont get any stone out. Guest guest
Lecithin is a major component of bile (not to mention your brain, myelin sheath, etc.). Because it has both a lipolyphic and hydrolyphic end it can bond to both water and oil which normally do not mix. Egg yolks are high in lecithin and that is why when you make mayonnaise (or Caesar salad dressing) it turns into a homogenous whole. This is it's purpose in bile; without the lecithin the aqueous portions and the fat (cholesterol) portions will not mix and the cholesterol can coagulate into stones. Critical part of the bile makeup. Your brain is 80% fat (by dry weight) most of which is lecithin by the way. Cheap, great stuff. Mustard seed is also high in lecithin so when you add it to salad dressing it helps to keep the oil and vinegar from settling out. -Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: fjnie1234<mailto:Fred.Niehaus@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2008 12:33 PM Subject: Re: new here and few questions about big gallstones Dave, I am not clear on how lecithin helps. Guest guest
There's also the spit in a glass method. Set out a glass of water before you go to bed. The next morning, first thing, spit in the glass. Don't pick the glass up to do it. Let is sit for awhile, 15 min. or so, and look at the glass. If you saliva is still floating on top of the water, you do not have a yeast problem. If it has settled to the bottom, or if it's streaming down, then you do. Guest guest
By the way, there are 2 components of lecithin that can be purchased supplementaly if one has problems breaking it down both of which are very good for liver/gallbladder (as well as brain/nerve). Phosphatidyl choline (cheap) and phosphatidyl serine (expensive). The breakdown from lecithin into these components is dependent on guess what? Yep, you guessed it... bile! So some need to take them in these more expensive forms in order to make them available properly (but only until the digestive issue is taken care of). -D ----- Original Message ----- From: Dave Shelden<mailto:wholehealthawareness@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2008 1:26 PM Subject: Re: Re: new here and few questions about big gallstones Lecithin is a major component of bile (not to mention your brain, myelin sheath, etc.). Guest guest
Oh sorry. For some reason, I got to thinking about the pH saliva strips. Oh, well, perhaps someone doesn't know about the spit test and it might help them. Amber I think that is what Sponge was talking about. . Guest guest
anytime there is a digestive issue especially dealing with liver/gallbladder proper breakdown of lipids is in question. If there are neurological or nerve issues as well double that. Lecithin cannot cross the blood brain barrier, it must be broken into it's individual components first and then is recombined on the other side. Of course a good digestive enzyme containing lipases and possibly a supplemental source of bile may help. -D ----- Original Message ----- From: fjnie1234<mailto:Fred.Niehaus@...> gallstones <mailto:gallstones > Sent: Thursday, April 10, 2008 1:46 PM Subject: Re: new here and few questions about big gallstones How would a person know if the cheaper form would suffice or not? > > > > > > The purpose of the olive oil in the flushes is to soften the > stones > > so that they can pass.
