Guest guest
Couple of years back routine ultrasound (not related to liver or bilary problems) detected two gallstones in gallbladder. It also indicated some 'fatty liver'. A scan about a year later detected one stone and the fatty liver was not observed. I have been having GERD for about 8- 10 months. (I guess another stone may have passed out or the scan did not pick it up!). I do not have any gallbladder attacks or significant pain that I can relate to gall stones. HIDA scan with CCK done last month showed gallbladder filling ok. One GI wants me to take the gallbladder out as a remedy against GERD while another GI wants me to try different Acid reflux medicines and says taking the gallbladder out is not necessary. The acid reflux medicines do not help. Endoscopic exam showed a little bit of hiatal hernia only - nothing significant. Anybody in similar situation or have some ideas?
