Guest guest
I really wanted boots, too, so I could wear skirts, etc. I had a terrible time finding anything that would work with my AFOs. I even went to specialty shops - no luck. Then I found a web site called shoedini.com. I ordered 4 different pair of boots (money back guarantee), and two of them actually worked. The pair that I kept are Minnetonka Moccasins (Front Lace Hardsole Boot)in black suede for around $55. My normal shoe size is a 6.5, so I ordered an 8. The AFO slides in first, then I put my foot in. Even with my hands being very weak, I'm able to get them on just fine. The boots go up to just below my knees, and totally cover the AFOs. They have no heel, and even though they're casual looking, they are comfortable and at least don't look like hiking boots. Hope you have as good of luck as I did.
