Guest guest
, could you give us the link for the reference you found on MedlinePlus??? Thanks. No, I can't think of any other references other than the ones I have previously mentioned. Zoe Kombu is Laminaria japonica; however, I am taking Norwegian Kelp, Fucus vesiculosis (bladder wrack) A reference at MedlinePlus states that 1 gram is approximately *up to* 600 micrograms of iodine, so assuming that is accurate ( and I did my math correctly) then taking that figure on the outside, the 12 natural Factors 575 mg Norwegian kelp tablets I am taking would contain approximately 7 1/2 mgs of iodine. I know that there are lots of trace elements, including potassium, in the type of kelp I am taking but I have never found anything to tell me that it specifically contains potassium iodide .Do you have any information on the site that I may have missed regarding this?
