Guest guest
My sister has also been diagnosed with CMT, but she's not real computer literate, so she asked me to forward a couple of questions to the grop. One is about an anesthetic she was given at the dentist. It made her tongue feel swollem and the upper part of her throat seemed to shrink alarmingly.....The drug was 3% Carbocaine----no vasoconstrictor.Has anybody else had similar experiences? She is also curious if anyone has any experience with the effects of her blood pressure medicine, Tiazic, a calcium channel blocker on persons with CMT. Thank you for your help. Guest guest
I have also had the same problem when at the dentist. I also felt as though I couldn't breath. It felt like my throat was closing; I never had this problem when I was younger... just within in the last 6 or 7 years. It makes me not want to go to the denist. My other alternative is to be put to sleep, but that isn't good for us either! ----- Original Message ----- From: Jacques Chambers Sent: Tuesday, October 15, 2002 4:31 PM Subject: Questions about anesthesia, meds, and CMT My sister has also been diagnosed with CMT, but she's not real computer literate, so she asked me to forward a couple of questions to the grop.
