... Just wanted to let you know that prior to my breast cancer diagnosis (Dec 05), I was not feeling well and had gained unwanted weight. I decided to do a strict cleansing diet with several colonics over the spring and summer. I felt much, much better and lost the unwanted pounds.

From all the research I've done, I was very constipated also and most of what I was eating was not good for me. I was re-absorbing everything again thru my intestines. Estrogen levels were to high.

Yes, I definately vouch for colonics. Actually, I am thinking about getting it done again.

-------------- Original message -------------- From: Cassidy <christinecassidy@...> Hi Anne,

I know the skin is a major organ of elimination and I will start the skin brushing, I haven't done that in quite a while - excellent idea. I have been using a loofah but it really doesn't get the same results.

My husband and my homeopath are encouraging me to get a colonic series to help ease up the detox symptoms and maybe increase my energy levels. Any thoughts on that? Has anyone had good results adding colonics? I am seeing my homeopath next week, she has some ideas for me.

I do use epsom salts baths regularly, but have not trying the baking soda - will try that.

I am very careful about putting chemicals on my skin, I use an all natural ingredient lotion or sesame oil or coconut oil.

Minerals sound like a good idea to look into also.

Thank you so much for your suggestions, I will definitely incorporate these into my regular program.

Scratch, scratch, itch, itch,

Hi ,I had this problem when I started on Armour, itching like crazy. It's just toxins coming out, more so now you're taking iodine. The skin is on of the main organs of elimination and will get clogged up when the other routes of elimination are compromised (kidneys, bowels, liver) and if you're detoxing too fast. So to help....do some dry skin brushing, followed by alternating hot and cold showers every morning and one or two epsom salt baths a week, maybe adding bicarb of soda too. This will help with elimination, so taking the pressure off the internal organs. Dont use lotions, they're full of chemicals. Instead apply an unprocessed oil eg coconut or sesame. Here's some instructions...http://healingtools.tripod.com/skinbrush.htmlKeep the bowels moving regularly with increased fibre and water intake. Eating a mineral rich diet will help too.Anne

Since I've gone on my thyroid meds (Feb this year), and added iodine, my skin is so itchy all the time I can hardly stand it. Lotions don't help at all. My skin is still extemely dry and flaky, my face looks like I had a sunburn - not red, just dry and flaky. I know the dry skin is part of the hypo thing, what I am wondering is, when does it get better?Maybe it is the iodine (Lugol's) and detoxing fluoride, etc? Maybe there is some vitamin or supplement that could help? I took some Vitamin E today, maybe I should take lots?Anyone else have this problem and have any ideas? I'm about ready to crawl o

ut of my skin! I live in a very dry area, so that doesn't help - relative humidity of about 15% is the norm here in New Mexico.
