Guest guest
> adrenal salivary tests show i was awake all night in pain before doing > the test which was quite interesting > 8am 22 range 10-24 That's fine - cortisol should be at the top of the range when you wake to enable you to go about your daily tasks. > 11am 3 range 5-10 - Too low. > 4pm 1 range 3-8 - Again, far too low. > 11pm 5 range 1-4 - Too high. Your cortisol should be at the bottom of the range to help you sleep. Too much adrenal activity going on. > this month tsh 3.34 returned to normal again - A TSH of 3.34 is FAR from normal. A 'normal' TSH should be around 1.0 or less. > t4 17 - that tells us nothing without a Free T3 test. We have no indication of whether the T4 is converting to the active hormone T3 or not. > ferritin 22 range 10-200 they siad i was low to normal on this - You need to ask yhour GP to prescribe for you some elemental iron such as Ferrous Sulphate in a reasonably high dose e.g. 200 mgs 3 times a day until your stored iron increases. Your Ferritin level should be around 70 to 90 to make you function normally. Low Ferritin can be a CAUSE of hypothyroidism. Please ask your GP to prescribe this for you, but, if you take any form of iron medication, do not take it any where near thyroid hormone replacement and take it about 3 to 4 hours apart. Also you need to take high doses of Vitamin C to stop any possible constipation. Say 2000 mgs. Luv - Sheila> julie>
