Guest guest
I myself had problems of that kind before. I used to keep a distance to the car ahead of me and had to brake much before than needed to avoid problems. I remarked as well that driving long distances made me tired and gave cramps to my right leg. Some months ago, I had a specialist who " adapted " the car by adding a vertical item on the right side (attached to the gaz and brake pedal in a special manner) that I can use with my right hand both as a gas pedal (if I take it backwards) and a brake (if I push it forwards). My hands are a bit weak but my arms are strong. I am very contented with the actual result and do not need to brake much before any light, etc. and can relax more than before without worrying that my foot can slip from the brake to the gaz pedal, etc. Had I known of this special construction before I would have had it done some years ago. The item is as well easy to remove if one should sell the car in the future. In Europe there are many companies that adapt the car according to the specific need of the person. I am sure that such companies exist in the States as well. (This construction costed me about $1,000 dollars). Best regards, Pat You are not alone with !
