Guest guest
Hi, I need some urgent advice please .. I posted an update on here recently and would really appreciate some thoughts or advice. After seeing a private doc recently and getting adrenal and thyroid tests done the adrenal test showed low DHEA and high cortisol. I had been on adrenal support for over a year and on and off armour as I think my adrenals caused probs when I got to a cetain point. I was on NAE (6) for quite a while and last October after thinking I was getting towards seeing armour kicking in and having good effects, I got too excited and upped armour too quickly and badly crashed = I had a horrible racy feeling which took 2 weeks to go after stopping the armour. Dr P advised HC as he thought after nearly a year of adrenal support, they should be in a better state. (I think the NAE has without a doubt helped a lot but think it has not been enough). I've been very reluctant to try HC and have ploughed on but got to a point a while ago when I felt I was scared of going further with Armour (I had got to 1 1/2 grains again)but not convinced about how much of a problem my adrenals were as well as other probs. After a 2 hour consultation the doc I saw recently advised 7-keto DHEA for the low dhea and 1000mg of Vit C to bring my cortisol down when he got the adrenal test back. When I saw him I had been off Armour and NAE for nearly 3 weeks so i could get a valid test result. About a week later I started feeling a bit rubbish and have been getting this racy feeling again that i got before and my sleep has been awful. I started the 7-Keto at 25mg and then increased as he told me to after 2 weeks (Tues) to 50mg. The racy feelings are now constant (I am not getting palpitations, sweats etc but I just feel very uncomfortable and 'switched on' in my head and chest - I can't explain it very well but it is REALLY uncomfortable particularly at night). So I feel concerned about this obviously. My questions: If I had already been taking 1000mg of Vit C with 6 NAE with no improvement why am I still taking it to 'bring my cortisol down?' With the results I got and the history of what I've done so far should I be taking something a bit more substantial for the high cortisol? Could the fact that high cortisol is not being supported enough be causing the racy feelings? If not what could the racy feelings be due to? I know the obvious thing would be to speak to this doc, but I want to be a bit clearer first about this and I naturally feel anxious about questioning something he has suggested. I may do that later but wanted to see what others thought first. I also feel upset because I think i will be charged for any phone consultation and do not want to incur this at the moment when i don't even feel confident or clear about the advice I have been given so far. Sorry if this is all a bit garbled. Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated Reeta x

Guest guest
There is a lot of info why RAI is bad. BUT there is no info on how to beat the thyroid cancer without it. One of the docs from naturalythyroidchoices said iodine therapy is not helpful. It is helpful to stay in remission etc, but not when you have thyca allover. Please let me know if you have other info. > > > > > > ENT just called and has my husband pretty convinced that he has to > > have the RAI treatment and NOW!
