Guest guest
And if so - what was it like? I went to the eye clinic on Wednesday, another fun day trip courtesy of the NHS, sponsored by endo. Well. That ophthalmologist was the unfriendliest man I have ever met, I don't think it would have killed him to smile! He rushed me in, rushed me through. " Put your things there and sit down here " He looked inside my eyes, he measured my eyes for the supposed proptosis and he said they were equal at 21mm. Now from what I read, 21mm is hmmm quite a bit sticky out. He didn't ask me if I had gritty eyes, dry eyes, pressure behind them - nothing - also the puffiness of my eyelids - didn't take that into account. And my eyes don't look normal. And they only made me do a quick one eye at the time " read the letters " test but nothing that would have shown them how badly I can't focus despite not needing glasses full-time. A man of very few words. I asked if he had seen my eye scan. " What scan? " I said the CT scan I had. Oh no I did not see if *shuffles through pages* Ah well from what this paper says it is most likely fine anyway. Hmm ok. All my next referrals will have to be private if I can help it, I have health insurance, I will use it! I am sick of this lottery thing (National Health Sweepstake?) when it comes to consultants and I always end up with the boobie prize. Meh.
