Guest guest
Hi, I've been concerned about flouride in our water for some time and after the recent posting about flouride decided to call our city to see what our flouride content is. Their answer was: ..8 mils per litre (approx 4 litres to a gallon) Does anyone know what this means???? or how it rates to other cities?? Also, the person I spoke with told me that the Brita water filters will take flouride out of the water. Is this a true fact???? Thanks. Guest guest
From Stuart Ross / Dentist Will a Brita Water filter remove fluoride from my drinking water? According to the consumer line of the Brita water filter company, 93% of lead is removed and the amounts of copper in the water are reduced. 90% of chlorine compounds are removed and the chlorine taste is eliminated but fluoride is not removed from the drinking water. According to Mr. K. Moor, of Moor Enterprises International Company, a company dealing with water filtration, carbon-based filters do not remove fluoride. But fluoride can be removed by reverse osmosis.
