Thryoid function questionnaire?

Does anyone have a questionnaire which can be used to assess if somone

potentially has an u/a thyroid? Similar to the adrenal function and

candida questionnaires in the files section (I've had a look but can't

see anything - apologies if it's there and I'm being blind!!)

I have just been chatting to a colleague of mine and she has some

suggestive symptoms. I have sent her some information, but I was just

wondering if such a questionnaire exists?

Many thanks

Barbara

No, I do not have a questionnaire similar to the other two Barbara - but the best thing to do is to take a copy of the symptoms and signs in our Files (or on our website www.tpa-uk.org.uk) and ask your friend to tick against each one that she suffers, and tick again each of the signs that she has, and that way, she should get a good idea if hypothyroidism could be what she is suffering. She should take her temperature every morning before getting out of bed and keep a list for at least 5 days. Normal temperature is 98i.4. If hers is 977.8 or less (and it could be very much less) then this is another way to check if her metabolism is not functioning as it should. She should also take her BP and pulse rate, because untreated hypothyroidism would show her BP to be low and her bpm to be low.

Hope this is of some help.

luv - Sheila
