Guest guest
Have you tried stopping the progesterone for a couple of months? Unlike estrogen, progesterone BUILDS UP in your tissues over time and has a long half life--some research says four months. Too much can make you hungry, have cravings, lose hair and become depressed. You may have just built up way too much in your system. Your blood tests will not show this as progesterone can be stored in the tissues and therefore isn't measurable. Several people have reported "progesterone dominance" when their practitioners are not aware that progesterone can build up. Depo Provera is sometimes given to AIDS patients to make them gain weight. Progesterone can be wonderful but not if you already have too much. Please write back and update us in a few weeks. Lynne In a message dated 1/7/2008 5:29:15 A.M.
