Guest guest
Many of us continue to suffer from gallstones even after we have flushed numerous times. I have come to the conclusion that a flush every 3-4 months and a change in diet is much preferred to the knife as it is soooo easy and good for me! I have begun to study bile salts (acids) and am beginning to create an interesting hypotheisis that may lead to a silver bullet in our disease. A great site explaining how biles slats are used in the body and how they are used by doctors for those with reduced colons can be found at: http://www.geocities.com/gastroyu/jan2000/hofmann.html Here are the facts and the theory: Bile salts are the key ingredient in maintaining a smooth, runny bile. Not enough bile salts and too much cholestorol leads to 80% of all gallstones = cholestorol chunks. We can reduce the cholestorol intake through diet but CANNOT increase bile salts by eating right. For the Flushee... we find that we have chunks... so we flush. Unfortunately with the flush also goes many ood bile salts. The flushing of the bile salts is the main reason you do not want to do the flush too often. Yes, you get rid of the offending chunks, but you also leave your body in a condition that may create more chunks! Bile salts flow out with the bile each time we eat and 90% are recycled in the small intestine. When we flush... we lose a lot of the bile salts down the drain. I am not sure how long it would take the body to create new bile salts, but if we are deficient in the first place... we may never catch up. The key it would seem is to get our hands on some bile salts. Doctors prescribe them for digestive problems, for those with partially or fully removed colons and yes, for dissolving gallstones! They don't like to prescribe for the latter as they feel the stones will return and it costs a lot to buy the drugs. wrote me that he has found a place that sells Bile Salts. Interestingly this product was developed by to maintain a healthy liver function for cancer patients. I found the web site and it is listed below. I have ordered my ox-bile salts, even though I wish I could get them from a vegie instead of an animal! You can order them from: http://www.dews21.com/digestion.cfm I also ordered the beet pills as I had heard these were also good for the liver. The side affects of ox-bile salt supplementation can be diahrea. In speaking to the people at Dews 21st Century, they claim that diahrea is rare, but will occer if you do not need the salts. Here is my plan... I will take 1/2 of the recommended dose for a few weeks and see how things are going. I could use some loose stools as I struggle more with constipation. Bile Salts may not be the entire cure, but if I had large stone it would be tested as my silver bullet! If anyone has any other information, please let me know! I am excited about the possibilities. This ox-bile product has been for sale for many years. Doctors prescribe it for digestion problems... Need I say more? ken
