Guest guest
Ruth Thanks for the e-mail: To answer your question I've had breathing problems on and off for a number of years. Things got worst about 2-3 months ago and so I went in to have it checked out. Since most of the Doctors I see haven't heard of CMT I always try to do a quick educational program so they know what to look for, or at least call the Doctor who told me I had CMT. Needless to say that did the stress test. Still waiting on my results, hopefully I will know something this afternoon. I turn 43 this month and do not cherish the fact that most of my family who has had CMT were placed on disability by their late 40s for one reason or another related to CMT. I hope my problem is weight related since I have gained nearly 50Lbs in 2 years since I met my wife. I never thought I would love the problem to be weight related but at this stage I do. Anyway that's it for now. Rick

Its a weak shallow breath. It comes and goes. It usually hangs around a few days.
Guest guest
I don't know if it is part of CMT to be short of breath or just because due to lack of sufficient exercise. I know my stamina isn't what it used to be and I do get short of breath. Cathleen
