Guest guest
Hello all, I have shown symptoms of CMT since early childhood. However, it is only recently that pain has become a major issue. The pain is not the result of physical activity or overexerting myself and is not limited to my hands and feet. My doctor never seems to have alot of answers for me in regards to CMT-related questions. Is it very common for Doctors to prescribe pain medications for problems related to CMT? If so, what type? And what type of doctor (Neurologist, etc.)? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Guest guest
Sell, My feet would hurt too if it were not for the in-shoe suede wrapped custom orthotics I have. Plus some great New Balance Cross trainers. I don't take medication as a rule, but after 6-8 hours of up and down on my feet, especially on a hot day, cold packs on my feet, a smoothing massage and Naprosyn do wonders. Naprosyn is the same stuff as Alleve, only prescription strength. My CMT feet need special care in a multi disciplinary approach. ~ Gretchen
