Guest guest
Hello all, I haven't posted here very often, but when I joined I was feeling awful despite my GP telling me my thyroid levels were in the normal range. Well I requested all my blood test results for bloods taken over the past year from my GP. After ploughing my way through them (I had loads of different tests) I found out that my serum feritin was below the normal range it was 13 out of a range 0f 15-150. I then searched the net and found a medical article stating that anything under 50 should be supplimented. My GP had failed to pick up on the test result!! So alongside reading Holfords Nutrition Bible and taking all the suppliments he suggested for hypothyroid I added in extra iron, vit C and Zinc I am now about 6 weeks into it and I am feeling so much better. I have so much more energy, I feel as though my brain is switched on, I am motivated, all my aches and pains have gone, my memory is improving, I could go on and on here...... I have achieved so much around the house, catching up with all the things I didn't have the energy or motivation for before, everything is more organised and tidy. I would suggest that even if your feritin results are within the range it's really worth a try with suppliments, maybe it's a combination of all of them together, all I know is my friends are all commenting on how well I look, and I feel it too. Holford suggests that you really only need to take a maximum of 25mg of iron but that you should also take zinc and vit c to enhance it. Well I hope this info helps some of you to feel as good as I do right now. Best wishes
