Both of my AFOs have an ankle straps. They didn't have

straps to begin with. I had them added when I picked them

up from the orthopedist. They do help your ankles from

pushing forward.

I also got my shoes from the orthopedist. He has a book

about 30 different styles to choose from. If anyone wants

to contact him, just let me know and I will post his

office number. You don't have to be in my city to order

or receive the information he said he would be happy to

talk with any of us. He would even be willing to talk to

us as a group.

Hi! I've been wearing AFOs since 1992. I wear all kinds of shoes, low-to-medium

high boots and sneakers. I've never had my heel slip out of any of them -- Oops,

not true -- in the low-cut-in-front loafer types

my heels slipped out. I just don't wear them.
