Guest guest
I've just sent him an e-mail as follows Sir, After reading your article on " Whose health is it anyway " , I would like to point out that it is obviously not yours, how dare you make such a sweeping judgement when you have no clinical knowledge of the patients you are condemning to years of sickness. NHS guidelines (check with Ann Keen, Parliamentary Under Secretary for Health) state that medical history, symptoms and a thorough clinical examination as well as blood tests are required for diagnosis. May I suggest that you teach your medical students this FACT, rather than the rubbish about all people who `think' they are Hypothyroid being mentally ill? I am appalled that you are teaching at all, does not the Hippocratic Oath require you to actually LISTEN to what your patient says? Glynis , A still very ill Hypothyroid patient who, thanks to you and your ilk, can't get any proper treatment.
