Guest guest
Hi there, I am a sixty four year old woman, who has suffered from acute tiredness, since the age of nine, when I was diagnosed with T.B.I was off school for three years, after that I was always tired, looking back this was the start of my thyroid troubles.age fourteen, bad migraine headaches, long painful periods, after two children in my twenties, had carpel tunnel operations on both wrists, caught Mumps, very ill, then whooping cough, pneumonia twice shortly after that, then asthma, in my thirties, had one year coughing up blood, no diagnosis found, virtigo, hysterectomy, I found it very difficult to work but always pushed myself. after seeing a Dr S.I became so much better, but the endocrine at the hospital said I had M.E. but he found a lump behind my right ear, I had to wait three months after the biopsy, to find out if this Tumour was benign or not, I was told it was benign, the surgeon then tried to remove it by cutting open my rightside of my neck, but the tumour was too set into my perroted area to be removed, so they stitched me up, and after that I had six monthly scans to check the growth of this Tumour, I felt good so at the age of sixty, could manage to work full time for the first time in my life, so life was getting better. but not for long. four years after that surgery, the tumour was growing, and was blocking the back of my throat, but I had a complete hip replacement first then one year later October 06 had my mandible cut open, to remove this Tumour, this has to be the worst time of my life, no wonder the Drs' do not like to do this op very often. My Asthma was the worst it had ever been, and I had to fight with the medics to keep giving me my Armour and thyroxine daily they had to crush these and feed them through my tubes, after fifteen days I was discharged, but had an urgent app two weeks later to see my consultant, to tell me it was cancer, expleamorfic, grade three, so had to have radiotherepy every day for six weeks, this really made me feel so very ill on top of my surgery. I have had four different stents put in my r ear because of glue ear, caused by this Tumour. But I know without the help of my Dr.S. I would not be here today, and feel so much better, I now take five grains Armour and 150 thyroxine daily, to which my doctors still say I am over prescribed, I still feel tired at times but know I am so much better, than I have ever been in my life, so am very grateful for all I have. and all those nasty symptoms I used to have have all disappeared. Thank you, kind regards Louise.
