Guest guest
, I'm surprised they even took your old records into consideration. I was told that once your off disability for more then one year you must re-apply as if your problem never existed...they too lost my old records from twenty years ago. At age 28 I was on disability for about two years and when the SSA did a follow up check on me and I told them I took aspirins for pain , they said I WAS CURED (GLORY BE!! !!!!!!) I was young and stupid not to appeal. But I really did want to work. I had good and bad days, but over the years the CMT has advanced into my arms and hands, and now at 49 I can no longer do what I used to do. Of course the keys words are I can no longer be gainfully employed. Thanks for your input.... Why are we so positive? Because at we know that 'positive' means: People (with CMT) Outsmarting Stress in Togetherness (and) in Victory Experientially. is Charcot Marie Tooth Universal Services - for you, your loved ones, the medical and scientific community, and anyone who wants to learn how CMT/HMSN affects each of us through experiential sharing.
