Guest guest
: I work for an organization that assists persons with disabilities get back into the workforce usually part-time and utilizing the existing benefits and assisting the individual so that they don't lose them unless or until they are ready to. In the state of PA, there are groups that will assist you, free of charge, with issues or things that you don't understand with Social Security. If anyone out there needs help from a real person, I will contact the person that I frequently work with and see what is available in other states. PA also has another program called MWAD that helps through the state medical assistance program (required income guidelines) so that you can work and still receive your medical assistance. Again, please let me know what information and/or other assistance you might need and I will try and assist. Sharon
Guest guest
Sharon, That would be great if you could supply me with info. stopped working in May. From what I understand SSDI should make its decision in about 120 days. I do plan to try to get rehabilitation after I win my disability. I was told by several people as well as coming to my own conclusion that I would first like to receive disability benefits so that in the event I get even worse I will be already getting income as well as not worrying about losing benefits. I believe that there is a two year period in which you can still get your benefits back even if you went back to work full time without having to re-apply. This waiting is tuff, both mentally and financially, and I think I should hold out just a bit longer.I'm afraid that if I try any type of rehabilitation now,it may backfire on me.
