Guest guest
From my own experience with these 2 subjects, it is a killer for me. Considering I have CMT, and while not yet has affected my respiration, even 25 years ago I knew this could happen, and quit. Then considering the general propensity that eating before bed is a surefire weight gain for me, I no longer eat anything high in calories or with sugar before bed. A few frozen grapes is about it. With a 24 lb. weight loss from changing my eating AGAIN this year, and with increased water consumption, I have been able to finally totally quit all sugar, fat, coffee, chocolate and red meat. Fish, chicken and rice are my staples - along with the specialized water and exercise that has toned me. A major change in the diet plus increased work in the pool has me falling into bed easily and sleeping well. In the CMT magazine there is a good article on Macrobiotics and eating; it also has some tips for a healthier lifestyle, recommending that " for deep restful sleep, avoid eating 2-3 hours before you retire and go to bed before midnight.
