Hey, I also wear a 5 1/2 wide, I got a pair of birkenstocks umm probably 2-3

years ago, I wear them all the time now! I have the " Boston " style. They are

my most comfortable shoes I have ever had, much better than any tennis shoe

even. They form to my feet perfectly. Even though they are a bit expensive

here, around $100 a pair, my mother understands how comfortable they are for

me and buy them with no regret.I am on my third pair. Because the bottoms

wear out so quickly, Depending on how you walk, (I wouldnt suggest dragging

your feet, Ive seen peoples that do that, and theirs tend to come apart a lot

quicker) Plus they are very easy to slip on and off, and they arent too hot.

Or not for me, If people are having problems with shoes, I would highly

suggest birkenstocks. If you happen to notice on the inside the great form

support, it really seems to work for me, from my toes to my back I never

really feel any pain, that I might feel with other shoes, they really are a

great shoe.
